Samara is a large town according to what I read but I have very few photographs and no memories.
Ulyanovsk is where V. I. Ulyanov (Lenin) was born and where he spent his childhood and adolescence and also where Alexander Karensky was born.
The town was named Simbirsk until 1924 when it was renamed Ulyanovsk in honor of Lenin.
